Announcing the 2023 X-ray Contest results! They Ate WHAT?!

Veterinary professionals are no strangers to intriguing cases, from furry and feathered patients to their equally unique human companions. However, while routine procedures and common ailments make for a full day in the office, it is the peculiar discoveries that make the work even more interesting.

In this year’s X-ray contest, we showcase another round of mind-boggling objects that our four-legged (and no-legged!) friends chose to ingest. From ornaments to different kinds of toys, the contents of their stomachs never fail to make you think, “They ate what?!” Clearly, the radiographs are telling of how unpredictable animals are in terms of their snack choices and how diverse the cases can get in the clinic. Thanks to the awesome work of veterinarians and their teams, these pets made a full recovery.
