Study shows equine clients drastically underestimate lifetime costs

Equine clients are a breed of their own when it comes to the relationship with their animals. In addition to the larger-than-life emotional bond, caring for their horse also comes with a bigger price tag. From routine veterinary care to emergency visits to end-of-life care—it is more than twice as expensive to own a horse than a dog.
