Dog left inside a parked truck rescued, six others found dead in Las Vegas

Investigation is underway after the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) rescued a mixed-breed dog left inside a parked U-Haul truck on a hospital parking lot in Las Vegas, Nev.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11 at Mountain View Hospital. According to a report by Fox5, the LVMPD received a 911 call that prompted the rescue. Upon further investigation at the scene, police found six dogs dead at the back of the moving truck, as well as a few cats.

As per 8 News Now, the suspect was identified as Christopher Winter, 53, who reportedly faces charges of animal abuse. The LVMPD Animal Cruelty Section is still investigating the cause of death of the deceased animals.
