Access to vet care, strengthened human-animal bond focus of new strategic partnership

Strengthening the human-animal bond and equipping pet parents with resources to access veterinary care are the main goals of a new strategic partnership.

Consumer finance company, Synchrony, and the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI) has announced their joint efforts to help pet parents understand the benefits of the human-animal bond and how it impacts the delivery of veterinary care.

“At Synchrony, we’re continually looking for ways to equip pet parents and veterinarians with the knowledge, resources and financial solutions to provide all pets with the care they need, over the course of their lifetime,” says Boo Larsen, senior vice president and general manager, Veterinary and Pet Care, Synchrony.

Synchrony will help HABRI in strengthening the human-animal bond by funding research projects and amplifying science-based education. Further, the finance company will  participate in HABRI’s public policy initiatives that advocate for legislative solutions that support pet owners and help increase access to pet care.

“Through its veterinary and pet solutions, Synchrony not only recognizes the importance of the human-animal bond, but also serves as an important means of preserving the bond by facilitating access to veterinary care for millions of families,” says Steven Feldman, president, HABRI.
